This Privacy Policy describes how World Corporation (the operator of NameValet) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit namevalet.com or use our services.

Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email, password (hashed), company name (optional), phone (optional), payout details.
  • Domain data: domain names, descriptions, prices, and usage statistics for domains you list.
  • Transaction data: sale price, commission, escrow status, payout records.
  • Usage analytics: page views, anonymized IP hashes, country code, device type. We do not use third-party trackers.
  • Cookies: session cookies for authentication; localStorage for theme preference and GDPR notice state.

How we use it

  • To provide and improve the NameValet platform.
  • To process payments and payouts via Stripe.
  • To send transactional emails (verification, offers, sales).
  • To detect fraud and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

Who we share with

We share data with:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Resend — transactional and newsletter email delivery.
  • Cloudflare — DNS, CDN, R2 object storage.
  • Escrow.com — escrow services for domain sales.
  • Sentry — application error tracking (no PII).
  • Buyers and sellers, when you initiate or accept an offer.
  • Law enforcement, when legally compelled.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

  • Access — request a copy of your data.
  • Correction — fix inaccurate data via your settings or by emailing us.
  • Deletion — request account deletion (some records retained for legal/tax compliance).
  • Portability — export your data.
  • Objection — opt out of marketing emails.

Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Transaction records are kept for at least seven years for tax and legal compliance. Anonymized analytics may be retained indefinitely.

Security

Passwords are stored using bcrypt with a cost factor of 12. Sessions use HttpOnly cookies over HTTPS. Database backups are encrypted at rest. We do not store credit card numbers — Stripe handles payment data directly.

Children

NameValet is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app banner.
